To purchase a 2020 USATF Membership please go here. As a reminder, please be sure to select events that you are able to safely complete while still following all Local, State and National laws and guidelines. Be respectful of facility closures and compete in events that you can complete in your neighborhood or backyard. Tools such as Google Maps have distance measuring options to measure short distances based on landmarks in your area, how-to guide here.
A video guide on how to submit results can be found here. Results will need to be submitted via the AthleticAPP and should be accompanied by evidence of your result. For track events less than a mile and field events the best method is to submit a video of the attempt. For running events, it is good practice to have a running stopwatch visible on the screen at all times for mark verification. For field events, it is good practice to show the measurement after the attempt has been made. For longer runs over a mile you may use the Record Run feature of the AthleticAPP, being able to select the appropriate distance and then automatically upload a GPS Tracked time of your run. Alternatively, you can submit a photo of another GPS recording device log or activity. Once your activity has been uploaded the leaderboard will be updated in real time to reflect current results. Athletes will be able to view other athletes’ postings, watch videos or look at photos of their competition. Results will lock on July 31, 2020 at 11:59 pm.

Please be sure to participate in a safe environment (e.g. please stay away from high traffic areas or areas that may be unsafe for any reason). Participants and their parents/legal guardians/coaches should be aware of the area that they are competing in and be respectful of other bystanders and/or property in the area. For activities such as the softball toss and/or the shot put, you should always be aware of where the implements might land and allow for appropriate clearance in the vicinity of the landing zone. USATF will not be responsible for injury or harm to people or property from your participation in the USATF Youth Virtual Summer Challenge. Prior to participating in the USATF Youth Virtual Summer Challenge, please make sure your parents/legal guardians/coaches are aware of any health limitations you might have (e.g. pre-existing injuries, asthma, etc.) and ensure that proper treatment and care is available to you, if needed. In the unfortunate event of an injury while participating, you should immediately notify your parents/legal guardians/coaches right away. As these activities would be taking place during the hot summer months, it is important that you and your parents/legal guardians/coaches become familiar with signs of heat stroke, heat exhaustion, dehydration and any other heat-related illnesses, so that they may be avoided. For information on these conditions please visit this page (https://kidshealth.org/en/parents/heat.html). In case of an emergency, please seek medical attention. Also, you and your parents/legal guardians/coaches should always follow state and local COVID-19 restrictions.
