Organizing an event is no small task, but you are never on your own. Whether you are putting on your first meet or submitting a bid for a national championship, we have numerous resources to help you along the way. During the planning stages of your event, check out our information on sanctions (to have your event officially recognized by USATF) and course certification (to ensure the distance of your road course is accurate). Once the event is over, be sure to return here for information on submitting results.
Pair up with your local Convention and Visitors Bureau to reap the financial benefits of local spending while athletes, families, friends, and fans are visiting your city for the event. You benefit whether this is the number of heads in beds in your hotels or simply the number of dollars spent in the community.
USATF supports all areas of the sport, track & field, racewalking, long distance running, cross country and MUT, to all age groups, youth, juniors, open and masters. Full listing of National Championships offered can be found here.
USATF offers a suite of services to set up Local Organizing Committees for success, including the use of a designated USATF event logo, liability insurance, event broadcasts, and more.
