Awards

The USATF Masters Long Distance Running Committee makes the following Awards:

• Masters Athlete of the Year – Every other year, alternating with USATF Masters Track & Field – Awarded to the top Masters Road Racer
• Masters Road Runners of the Year – Awarded every year to the top Female and the top Male Masters Road Runner
• Masters Age Division Road Runners of the Year – Awarded each year to the top Female and Male Road Runner in each Masters Age Division from 40-44 to the highest meritorious age division
• Paul Spangler Award – Awarded each year to the top Female and Male Road Runner in the highest meritorious age division
• Otto Essig Award – Awarded each year for meritorious service to the sport of Masters Long Distance Running
