Updated logo honors USATF’s heritage and reflects the ambition of a sport preparing for a historic moment on home soil
INDIANAPOLIS — USA Track & Field (USATF) today unveiled a refreshed brand identity, building on the organization’s established visual heritage while creating a clearer, more unified and modern expression of the sport it represents. The updated logo retains the iconic wings and star, reinforcing the connection between USA Track & Field’s proud history and its continued commitment to the future of the sport in the United States.
With the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games on the horizon, the brand refresh arrives at a defining moment for the sport. As USATF prepares to welcome the world to the United States and pursue a historic performance in Los Angeles, the refreshed identity reflects the ambition, determination and shared purpose driving American track and field forward.
“Our brand should reflect both where we’ve been and where we’re going,” said Max Siegel, CEO of USATF. “As we build toward LA28, we have an extraordinary opportunity to showcase American track and field on home soil and inspire the next generation of athletes and fans. This refresh builds on the identity that has represented our sport for years while reflecting the energy, ambition and unity of the community preparing for that moment. Our values haven’t changed. We’re carrying them forward into the next chapter of our sport.”
Rooted in the concept that the spirit moves forward, the refresh reflects a simple principle: while the sport continues to evolve, what defines it remains the same. The pursuit of excellence, the determination to push beyond limits and the pride of representing the United States continue to unite athletes across every discipline and generation.
The refreshed identity preserves the familiar symbols of the USATF brand while refining how the organization presents itself to athletes, fans and a new generation of supporters. The wings represent movement, aspiration and the drive to rise beyond limits, while the star symbolizes the United States and the shared identity of the athletes who represent the nation.
As the road to LA28 continues, USATF’s focus is on investing record funding and resources into strengthening the sport at every level, increasing the visibility of track and field and its athletes and building momentum toward historic performances in Los Angeles. The refreshed identity provides a unified expression of that mission.
Beginning today, the refreshed logo will begin appearing across USATF’s platforms and communications.
