Taylor, Rogers Among Track & Field Stars Added to Lone Star Grand Prix

COLLEGE STATION, TX — A Texas sprint sensation and a reigning Olympic and World champion are the latest stars added to the inaugural Lone Star Grand Prix Fueled by 44 Farms lineup.

Tate Taylor, a senior at San Antonio Harlan High School, is entered in the professional men’s 200m at the June 6 meet in College Station after a breakthrough season that saw him set the American high school indoor record earlier this year. Joining the growing list of international stars is Canada’s Camryn Rogers, the reigning Olympic and World champion in the women’s hammer throw.

Taylor will test himself against one of the deepest sprint fields assembled this season, including Olympic and World champion Steven Gardiner (BAH), Olympic medalist and World Championship medalist Aaron Brown (CAN), 2024 Olympic finalist Tapiwanashe Makarawu (ZIM), and Team USATF relay veterans Kyree King and Brandon Carnes.

In addition to the professional races, the Lone Star Grand Prix will showcase the next generation of sprint talent with featured high school 100m events. Houston standout Dillon Mitchell, who defeated Taylor in the 60m at Nike Indoor Nationals in March, and British record-holder Jake Odey-Jordan headline the boys’ field.

The girls’ race features Texas twins Mia and Mariah Maxwell, who finished second and third, respectively, at the 2026 USATF Indoor Championships.
The women’s hammer throw is shaping up to be one of the marquee events of the meet, featuring seven of the top 10 throwers in the world rankings for 2025. Rogers will be joined by fellow medalists from the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo, China’s Jiale Zhang and Jie Zhao.

Also entered are the top four finishers from last year’s Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships: DeAnna Price, Brooke Andersen, Rachel Richeson, and Janee’ Kassanavoid.

Jamaica’s Briana Williams, a member of the gold medal-winning 4x100m relay team at this month’s World Relays, is set to compete in the women’s 100m. She will face a loaded field that includes Canadian national record-holder Audrey Leduc, Jamaican U20 World champion Brianna Lyston, and American relay gold medalists Celera Barnes and Tamari Davis.

Organized by USA Track & Field, the Lone Star Grand Prix Fueled by 44 Farms will be held Saturday, June 6, beginning at 2 p.m. CT at Texas A&M University. Tickets are on sale now, and the meet will be broadcast live on NBC from 3–5 p.m. CT. Media looking to cover the event can apply for credentials here.
