INDIANAPOLIS — USA Track & Field is set to host the 2025 USATF Indoor Championships presented by Prevagen February 22-23 in Staten Island, New York at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. Some of the nation’s brightest track and field stars will compete for national titles and a spot on the Team USATF roster for the World Athletics Indoor Championships Nanjing25. The combined events will kick off a spectator-friendly two-day schedule of events that culminates with the men’s 60 final on Sunday afternoon. Tickets are available for both days of competition for fans to watch the action in person at usatf.org/tickets. Those who aren’t able to make it to The Big Apple can watch live and on-demand on NBC and Peacock. The state-of-the-art facility at Ocean Breeze has held a number of premiere events, including the 2019 USATF Indoor Championships. At that meet, 16-year-old Athing Mu emerged onto the world scene as she rocketed to world U20 and U18 bests with a stunning 1:23.57 in the women's 600. Mu, who would go on to Olympic gold in the 800 at Tokyo, set an American record with that performance, and that record still stands. Donavan Brazier also had a scintillating run in the men's 600, notching a world best and American record of 1:13.77 that is still the record today. Other top performances came from Ryan Crouser, who sandwiched a 22.22/72-10.75 men's shot put win between his Olympic golds at Rio 2016 and Tokyo, and Keturah Orji, who recorded the second farthest American women's triple jump mark with a 14.55/47-9 effort. Brittany Brown (300) and Ajee' Wilson (1000) also turned in the No. 2 all-time U.S. women's indoor performances in their events. As 2019 was not a World Indoor Championships year, several track events were contested at non-traditional distances. The 2024 edition of the USATF Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico saw Grant Holloway lower his own world record in the men's 60 hurdles to 7.27 in the heats, and a world best in the men's 35-pound weight throw from Daniel Haugh. Tia Jones tied the world record in the heats of the women's 60 hurdles with a 7.67. Paris 2024 gold medalists Noah Lyles and Cole Hocker prefaced their Olympic victories with wins in the men's 60 and 1500, and Crouser blasted a massive 22.80/74-9.75 that was only two centimeters short of his own world indoor record in the shot.
