INDIANAPOLIS — Bettering his own world record* in the men's 60 hurdles, Grant Holloway (Gainesville, Florida/USATF Florida) earned recognition as the 6th USATF Athlete of the Week award winner for 2024. Holloway stormed to a 7.27 in the heats at the USATF Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, taking .02 off the world record he set at Madrid in 2021 and tied at the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade in 2022. He now owns the top three times in world history and six of the top seven. Undefeated in the 60H since 2014, Holloway has the top 11 times in U.S. history and will defend his World Indoor title in March in Glasgow, Scotland. All five of his races this year have been faster than 7.40, and dating back to February 27, 2022, none of his times have been slower than 7.40 in 14 races. Other top performances from last week:
