Brown, the bronze medalist in the 200 at the Paris Olympic Games, sped to a 22.18 to win the Athlos NYC title in New York City, beating Olympic champion Gabby Thomas in the process. The 29-year-old Brown also placed second in the 100 with a season best 11.05.

Parker Wolfe of North Carolina won the men's 8K race at the Nuttycombe Invitational in Wisconsin, setting a course record of 23:04.
Mia Cochran of Arkansas won the women's 5K race at the Chile Pepper XC Festival in Fayetteville by the barest of margins, crossing the line with teammate Paityn Noe in 15:56.3.
Colorado high schooler Addy Ritzenhein was the girls winner at the Desert Twilight XC meet in Arizona, overcoming stifling heat to win by almost 40 seconds in 16:41.3.
