Brown, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, is an accomplished American hurdler with a distinguished career both as an athlete and a coach. In 2005, he claimed the USATF national indoor title in the 60m hurdles and finished sixth in the 110m hurdles at the World Championships in Helsinki, Finland. Brown maintained a remarkable nine-year streak of global top 15 rankings in the 110m hurdles, establishing himself as one of the premier athletes in his event. After transitioning from competition to coaching, Brown has built an extensive coaching career. He has served on Team USA as a coach at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest and as Assistant Coach for the Europe vs. USA Match in Minsk, Belarus, in 2019. Additionally, he served as Athlete Liaison for Team USA at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar. Brown currently serves as the Associate Head Coach for Track and Field at The Ohio State University, where he has been a pivotal figure in helping both the men’s and women’s programs achieve a combined 12 Big Ten titles, set numerous school records, and make multiple NCAA Championship appearances. His leadership and coaching have contributed to the development of Olympians and elite athletes.
