The NYC Parks' Ocean Breeze Track and Field Athletic Complex is a 135,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art indoor facility located in Ocean Breeze Park, Staten Island. It is IAAF-certified and features an elite-level, hydraulically banked competition track that can convert from eight to six lanes and incline up to 4.5 feet.
The complex includes dual field event areas, allowing for simultaneous competitions and training in events such as long jump, pole vault, shot put, and high jump. It also features a 180-meter-long warm-up area equipped with fitness and cardio rooms, providing athletes with ample space to prepare for competition.
Spectators and athletes alike enjoy commanding views of the nearby Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and the Freedom Tower in Lower Manhattan. A covered parking lot accommodates up to 160 vehicles.
On November 19, 2015, the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex became the first facility in the United States to be recognized as a certified IAAF facility. In just ten years of operation, it has hosted eleven National Championships, sixteen State Championships, numerous collegiate conference championships, and over 900 events.
All competitors are required to wear their assigned bib numbers on the front of their jersey during the competition. Athletes should plan to pick up their bibs no later than 90 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of their event. If a bib number is lost, a replacement may be purchased for a fee of $10.00. Packet pick-up will be located on the first floor of the facility with the entrance being located below the entry ramp.

The 2026 USATF Youth Indoor Championships are open to all 2026 USATF age verified members who fall within the age divisions listed below:
*Athletes must be at least seven (7) years of age on December 31 of the current year to compete at the Youth Athletics or Junior Olympic National Championships.
**Athletes who are still eighteen (18) years of age through the final day of the National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championship shall be eligible to compete in the 17–18-year-old division through that meet. This extended eligibility does not apply to cross-country events.

Please be prepared to add your club affiliation and upload your birth certificate or other proof of age at the time of completing your membership. All age verifications and club affiliation updates MUST be completed 5 days prior (Monday, March 10th at 11:59 p.m.) to the close of entries, USATF cannot guarantee changes or age verifications can be made after that deadline.
***Competitors must compete in their own division only. No athlete may compete in younger or older divisions in individual, relay or team events. USATF Club team members must be from the same Club and High School team members must be from the same High School.

The entry deadline will be on Monday, March 16th at 11:59 p.m. There will be no late or day of entries accepted.
All athlete seeds will be automatically generated from their athletic.net profiles, we will accept seed marks from March 1, 2025, through the close of entries. Conversions may not be used to any event. If an athlete has multiple profiles on athletic.net, they must merge their profiles together by completing a request on their bio page (request a correction, athlete has two profiles). If you need to merge profiles, please do so 5 days prior to the close of entries.
On event days the track will close promptly at 8:30 a.m. to allow us to prepare to start the first event on time. All warming up after this time should be completed on the first floor of the venue or outside. Outside the venue athletes have access to over 3 miles of trails in Ocean Breeze Park, two open fields and 4 miles of greenway and boardwalk directly across the street.
For all running events, check-in at clerking will be on the first floor of the athletic complex. Athletes should be prepared to check in no later than 30 minutes prior to the schedule start time of their event. Announcements will be made on the first floor only.
For all running events, all athletes must also check in at the clerking area 30 minutes prior to the start of the event. Athletes will be escorted to the field of play by an official for their event.
Please be advised if the athlete has a conflict with two events, they must check into both and inform the official at the field event they need to leave for a running event and MUST return promptly. The official may have the athlete take their jumps/throws early or move the athlete to a later flight, however, once the event goes into the final or has concluded, the athletes will not be able to take their attempts.
During the 55m dash, 55m hurdles and all field events, the top 8 times will advance to a final. The 200m dash and 400m dash will also be conducted as two rounds with the top 6 times returning for finals.
All opening heights are determined by the National Youth Executive Committee and may be adjusted at the close of entries if appropriate to do so.
USATF officials work very hard to run an efficient and fair competition but, they are human, and mistakes happen. If you feel there was a mistake made, we ask you calmly visit the protest stage located on turn 1. All protests will be charged a $100 fee which is refundable if your protest leads to a ruling being overturned. Protests must be made no later than 30 minutes after the conclusion of the event.

We want to celebrate our athletes hard work and successes and may be asked to participate in social media posts, be interviewed after a race or featured in recap articles. If at anytime an athlete is approached and wishes not to participate, please know that you may decline the offer.

Medals will be presented to the top 6 athletes in each event, with the winners receiving a championship trophy. Each athlete entering the meet will receive a gift from USATF and participation certificate.
Athletes must report to the awards area located on turn two no later than 30 minutes after the conclusion of their event for the awards presentation.
NEW for 2026, USATF New York will be presenting running and field event most impressive performance awards to one boy and one girl in each age division.
NEW for 2026, USATF New York will be presenting team trophies to the top club in each division.
The official USATF Team Store and event merchandise will be available throughout the duration of the Championships. There will also be special merchandise or merchandise upgrades for those athletes that make it to the podium.
NEW for 2026, athletes will be able to order a limited edition 2026 USATF Indoor National Youth Championships backpack. All orders must be placed by February 15 on Athletic.net at the time of completing your entry. This will be limited to the first 2,000 registrants.
The Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex is a UCS facility featuring equipment all certified by World Athletics. Athletes will be provided with starting blocks, batons, chalk, and house throwing implements.
Personal implements may be used (one per athlete) and must be presented at implement inspection no later than 90 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the event, we encourage implements to be dropped off on Thursday during packet pick-up hours. All implements are stored at implement inspection and signed in/out as needed.
All pole vault poles must be self-provided. Vaulters will be required to weigh in at the event at which time must have their bib numbers and all poles they wish to use with them. All poles will be inspected for the manufacturers’ pole rating and the maximum top hand hold position as determined by the manufacturer. The athlete’s weight must be below the pole rating, no exceptions. Meet management will not be responsible for any poles held, shipped or impounded at the meet without a hard, protective case.

The only spikes permitted to be worn at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex is 1/8” or 1/4” pyramid spikes, this includes all field events as well.
The following items are not permitted inside of the Athletic Complex and all bags are subject to search by the NYPD.
Food concessions will be available inside of the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex, which offers a diverse menu, a smoothie cart and outside of the facility will have food trucks available for additional options. Athletes and spectators are welcome to bring food into the facility with them as well.
Please be advised that food delivery services are not permitted in the Athletic Complex and if an order is placed, please plan to pick up curb side.
