A shuttle will circle from the Marriott, Doubletree, and Hampton Inn LaGuardia hotels to Randall's Island with stops at the Fire Academy (credentialing) and Icahn Stadium.

Awards & Prize Money

Prize Money Structure

Prize money will be awarded to the Top 7 places ranked by percentage of the 2026 A standard.  Prize money will be broken into the four following categories by percentage.

Female Field (1st-7th)
Male Field  (1st-7th)
Female Track  (1st-7th)
Male Track  (1st-7th)

Athletes are eligible for prize money once per category (i.e. a female athlete is eligible to receive prize money in one track event and one field event, but not for 2  field events if they place in the top 7 by percentage).  For the purposes of prize money, long jump and high jump will be considered field events.  

Any ties to percentage will be taken to the thousandth and so forth as needed.

  • 1st - $10,000
  • 2nd - $7,000
  • 3rd - $5,000
  • 4th - $2,000
  • 5th​ - $1,000
  • 6th​ - $1,000
  • 7th​ - $500

Notes

  • College/University: Athletes with collegiate eligibility (at the time the event was contested), should check with their respective university compliance departments to determine if they are eligible to receive prize money, according to NCAA bylaws (i.e. actual and necessary or Enhanced Operation Gold Program*). If an athlete with collegiate eligibility is approved to receive prize money, the university compliance representative must provide approval/documentation to USATF via email (Sariyu.Suggs@usatf.org).  The deadline to provide this approval/documentation from your university/college compliance department is December 31, 2026, to be eligible to receive this prize money. 

*Applies to 2026 designated elite-level events.

Athletes are eligible to receive prize money in more than one event.

  • High School: High school athletes must check with their High School Association to confirm if it is permissible to accept the funds and continue to compete for their high school team.  If a high school athlete is approved to receive prize money, the high school association representative must provide approval/documentation to USATF via email (Sariyu.Suggs@usatf.org).  The deadline to provide this approval documentation from the High School Association is December 31, 2026, to be eligible to receive this prize money. 

Travel Allocation

Travel Funding & Tax Information

An allocation of funds ($1,500) will be provided to the following athletes:

  1. 2026 Term 1 USATF Para Tier & Athletes who are registered and compete at Para National Championships.
  2. Athletes who earn a standard to be named to the 2026 Term 2 Tier program during Para National Championships.  (New TPP athletes are not eligible)

An allocation of funds ($750) will be provided to eligible athletes for PCA support:

  1. 2026 Term 1 USATF Para Tier & Athletes who are registered and compete at Para National Championships.

Notes for eligible PCA support

  1. PCA must be eligible per the PCA support noted in the 2026 USATF Para Tier Resource Guide (page 17).
  2. PCA must be fully credentialed and attend USATF Para National Championships. 

To be eligible for USATF Para National Championships travel allocations, an athlete  must be a current USATF member in good standing; must have entered and achieved qualifying mark based on qualifying window/time periods for that event; must have declared for that event; and must be a citizen of the United States of America who is eligible to represent the U.S. in international competition. Dual Citizens, please take note.

Travel Funding breakdown

A single allocation of funds in the amount of $1,500 will be provided to athletes who meet the funding criteria above. Athletes will only be eligible to receive travel funding for one event if they are entered and declared by the respective deadlines. Athletes must compete in the 2026 Toyota USATF Para National Championships to receive travel funding.

Para Technical Meeting

The Para technical meeting will be held Wednesday, July 22nd via Zoom at 7:00pm.  Everyone is welcome to listen to the technical meeting.  Questions will not be answered during the technical meeting however advance questions can be submitted until Tuesday, July 21st at 11:00am Eastern Time at the following link.

Implements

Athletes should plan to bring their own implements for training.  We will have at least one approved implement available for each competition session in the event an athletes implement does not pass inspection. 

IMPLEMENTS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO CHECK OUT FOR TRAINING.

Courtesy Equipment Check

If you would like an early courtesy check for your equipment, you must leave your equipment in the equipment storage area by 4:00pm, Wednesday, July 22nd. Your chair must be marked with tape, and your full name and classification must be included on the tape.  Tape can be found in the equipment storage area beginning Wednesday morning. 

Bibs

All bibs will be picked up in Call Room 1 on the day of your competition.  All athletes may check in on arrival to the stadium to receive your bibs early.
