Pole Vault check-in station is currently open.

We are asking athletes to check their poles at least two hours before the scheduled time.

Please do not wait 10 minutes before the scheduled event.

Location of the Pole Vault check-in station: R.A. "Murray" Fasken '38 Indoor Track & Field (Olsen Blvd. & George Bush Dr. W).

A maximum of ¼ inch spike length may be used for all events (field events and running events). PYRAMID SPIKES ONLY. NO NEEDLE OR CHRISTMAS TREE SPIKES ARE PERMITTED. WEARING SPIKES ON THE CONCOURSE OR SEATING AREA IS PROHIBITED.

Dear Parents and Coaches,

We realize that bad weather can put a damper on any track & field meet and the safety of our athletes, officials, staff, and spectators is our number one priority.

If we experience another weather-related emergency, the following protocols will go into effect:

• If lightning is detected within 15 miles, there will be a warning announcement made within the stadium and on the warm-up field; please be prepared to meet your athletes. If lightning then moves within a 8 mile range, we will pause the meet and evacuate the facility.
• Athletes will be moved and picked up from the following locations:
  • 8 and under/9-10 year old athletes will all be moved to the reunification tent and picked up by either a coach or parents using our normal reunification protocols.
  • Athletes that are participating in the following field events: Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, and Shot Put (with the exception of reunification-aged athletes) will exit the venue through spectator entrance/exit 2 (off of turn three).
  • Athletes that are in the clerking tent or currently competing in an event will exit through the gate by the final call/hipping tent (off of turn two).
  • Athletes in the Javelin, Hammer, and Discus will exit through the gate at the final call/hipping tent.
  • Any athlete that is on the warm-up field may be picked up at the entrance to the warm-up field.

We will provide updates every 30 minutes and communicate any schedule changes as soon as possible through Athletic.live, email, and USATF.org.

We thank you in advance for your patience, attention to this matter, and helping us keep our athletes safe.
