The first three finishers in each age group in each event will receive gold, silver, and bronze 2023 USATF Masters Outdoor Championships medals. USATF individual event Champions will also receive a championship patch. Only one patch will be awarded to an individual athlete no matter how many events they win. The fourth through eighth place finishers in each event will each receive a USATF Masters Championship ribbon. Non-US Citizens are not eligible to displace US Citizens and those eligible to represent the US internationally for awards or to score points in the club competition. Those athletes will receive equivalent awards based on their overall place in their event(s).
Team trophies will be presented to the first place, second place, and third place teams. Scoring is both separately for men and women and combined men and women. Trophies are awarded in all three categories. Points are awarded as follows:
Your competitor (bib) number must be worn on the front during all competitions (exceptions for High Jump, Pole Vault and Throws athletes). In addition, all track athletes will be required to wear a bib number on their back indicating their age division. Back to Top
Athletes in track events must declare either online by 5:00 p.m. the day before your event or in person at least 60 minutes before the start of your event at the declaration desk near the clerk’s tent. After you declare (either in person or online), you must also check-in with the clerk 15 minutes before the start of your event. To declare online, you will need the email and registration password that you received in your confirmation email (the password is at the bottom of the email, under the heading "Managing Your Registration.") Athletes must declare at the field event venue 20 minutes before the start of all field events, except the pole vault. Pole vaulters must declare one hour before the start of your event (schedule).

From I-40 Eastbound: Take Highway US-220 N toward US-29 N. Take Highway US-70 E to South O Henry Blvd in Greensboro. Take exit 223 from I-40E. Continue on US-220 N to US-29N. Merge onto US-70 E to South O Henry Blvd. Stadium will be on your left. Continue past stadium and enter stadium parking on your left.
From I-40 Westbound: Take exit 131 from I-40 W toward I-785 North, Greensboro. Take exit 224 on the right to merge onto Gate City Blvd Keep right onto Gate City Blvd toward Greensboro, Gateway University Research Park. In 1.9 mi turn right onto Hackett St. Use the left lane to turn left onto Gorrell St. In 300 ft turn right onto South O Henry Blvd (U.S. 29 North). Merge in the right lane to take a slight turn in 1 mile. In 400 ft turn right onto Post Street, then in 100 ft turn right onto Sullivan Street. In 0.4 miles stadium will be on your right. Two (2) competition-approved implements of every size and weight will be provided. However, it is recommended that you bring your own implements and have them certified at the Implement Inspection area. The Implement Inspection area will be located at the storage building located outside the northeast corner of the stadium. Athletes wishing to use their own implements must submit those implements for inspection at least two hours before the scheduled start of their throwing event. All implements should be checked in at least two hours prior to the start of your event. Implements for all early morning throws (8:00 – 10:00 a.m.) should be checked in the afternoon before the event.
Only ¼ inch “Pyramid Spikes” will be allowed on the competition surface at Truist Stadium. Prohibited spikes include “Needle Spike Pins” and “Christmas Tree Spikes”, and any spikes longer than ¼ inch. All shoes will be checked.
Only meet supplied starting blocks will be allowed. No personal starting blocks will be permitted. Back to Top
The USATF Masters Championships Games Subcommittee will have 30 vaulting poles available for rent during the Championships in Greensboro. The cost of rental is $50 per athlete ($75 for late or onsite rental). Those paying the rental fees have access to all 30 poles, though they may have to share a particular pole with other athletes. If a pole breaks or is seriously damaged, the renter is responsible for replacing the pole. On time rental ends Sunday, July 16 at 12:00 PM, ET. Any protest must be made immediately to the event head official or to the referee no later than 30 minutes after the results of the event are communicated, announced, or posted. Protests not filed within that time frame will be denied. Once a protest has been decided and the result of the protest is communicated, announced, or posted, you have 30 minutes to file an appeal. The fee to file an appeal is $100. To file an appeal, you must submit the written appeal to the Games Subcommittee. The appeal fee is nonrefundable unless your protest/appeal is upheld. For appropriate and timely processing of record applications, athletes obtaining a new age division record in an event should be prepared to submit a copy of their birth certificate or passport (driver’s license or similar is not acceptable), if not already submitted to USATF with your entry. Starting heights for the high jump and pole vault competition will be determined by facility equipment limitations and the Masters Track & Field Championships Games Subcommittee. Minimum High Jump height is 0.70; minimum Pole Vault height is approximately 0.80m. Back to Top
All eligible members of USATF and eligible members of other World Athletics member federations may compete in these Championships. However, only U.S. citizens and those eligible to represent the U.S. internationally may score or win Championship medals; non-U.S. citizens will receive equivalent awards.
There are no qualifying standards for this competition.
Athletes must be 25 years or older on July 20, 2023. Individual and relay competitions will be conducted in five-year age divisions.
All athletes must be 2023 members of USATF in good standing. USATF Memberships may be purchased online. Non-U.S. citizens must be eligible members of their WA Member federation.
All clubs must be 2023 USATF member organizations to score team points and have athletes represent the club in these Championships.
Club and non-club relay teams shall be separate divisions. USATF Competition Rule 332.2(g) details the definitions for both club and non-club relay teams. Non-U.S. citizens may not be members of club relay teams.

You must be a 2023 USATF member to enter the Championships. If you do not have a 2023 membership, please complete a membership application first. You must also meet the eligibility requirements. NOTE: If you are a multi-year member through at least 2023 you may enter using your 2023 USATF membership number.
Combined events count as the first event. All fees are non-transferable and non-refundable. No entry will be considered completed unless it is accompanied by full payment of fees and all required documents (see below).

USATF also recommends athletes bring a copy of their proof-of-age document to packet pick-up as a back-up measure — a proof-of-age document is required prior to receiving competitor packets. Athletes will not be considered to be entered into the meet until ALL required documents have been received. Athletes missing required documents will be listed as “info needed” on the Status of Entries page of the USATF website until all such documents are received.

Relay team forms are available and relay entries can be turned in at Packet Pick-up during Packet Pick-up hours from Wednesday to Saturday. The fee for relay team entries is $40 per team. Relay entries will close at 1:00 p.m. the day before the race with the exception of the 4x800m Relay which is due Thursday, July 20 at 11:00 a.m. Athletes must be entered in the meet to compete on a relay team. If an individual will be joining others to form a team and is not competing in any other events, the process described above still applies. Shuttle Service will be operated on a continuous basis throughout the day. The free shuttle from the three Downtown Greensboro Host Hotels will be scheduled to have the first shuttle in the morning arrive at Truist Stadium, the competition venue, 1 hour prior to the first event. At the end of the day, the final shuttle will depart Truist Stadium a half hour after the last event has been completed.
