Saturday, June 24, 2023 8:30am -10:00 am Next to the USATF tent on the west side of Monument Circle Gear Drop. Masters championship runners may utilize the general bag drop on the west side of Monument Circle. Approved bags will be available at the Gear Check tent. Items to be checked must be placed inside the provided bag; no other items will be checked. Valuable items should not be checked. Event staff and volunteers are not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen items.

10:30 AM ET Masters Women 10:45 AM ET Masters Men *Times and waves are subject to change. Athletes should confirm start times as we get closer to race day. A Welcome email to athletes will go out on the Thursday prior to the race; that will include the final schedule. If an extra wave is added, any 60+ athletes who run on a 40+ or 50+ team should be aware of Competition Rule 341.4. Once the 1st race is concluded and the overall results are posted, a one-hour protest period begins. Following the protest period, an Awards Ceremony will be held on the north spoke of Monument Circle with Christ Church Cathedral and the Columbia Club providing the backdrop. Monument Circle It is expected that Masters Championship Awards will begin around 11:45 AM.
USATF Championship Medals will be awarded to the top 3 Age-Grading finishers, the top 3 Overall finishers, the top 3 finishers in each 5-year Age Division starting at 40, and the top 3 teams in each 10-year Age Division starting at 40 and up, both men and women. The top 3 teams receive medals for declared team members. In addition, championship patches are available for the Age-Graded Champions, the Overall Champions, and each Age Division National Champion. Elite Performance Medals will be presented to all competitors achieving at least an 80% age grade in accordance with the 2020 USATF tables. USATF Masters Champions in each 5‐year Age Division‐Beginning at 40‐44 and continuing to the division of the oldest finisher.
USATF Masters (40+) Top Team in each 10‐year Division‐Beginning at 40+ and continuing to the division with the oldest complete, finishing team.
All Masters athletes must be citizens of the United States and eligible to represent the United States in international competition to be eligible for team scoring and for USATF medals and prize money. Prize money will be awarded to member USATF Masters runners who have appropriately entered the Championship competition. Non-citizens who are USATF members are welcome to compete but may not score for a team nor win USATF medals and prize money. Non-citizens can qualify for Elite Performance Medals. All prize money will be mailed to clubs or individuals following the race. Drug Testing: All competitors entered in the USATF Masters 10 Km Championships are eligible for “in-competition” drug testing. Any questions regarding prescriptions or other over-the-counter medication should be directed to the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) at 1-888-233-0393. If the 2023 USATF Masters 10 km Championships is selected for drug testing, prize money checks will be mailed following our receipt of the drug testing results. The race has no control over when the results of the drug tests are released, and we cannot release the prize money until we have official results as it can directly affect the distribution amounts.
