Q. Where will the meet be held? A. At the New Balance Track & Field Center at The Armory, located at 216 Fort Washington Avenue, New York, NY 10032. The website is armorytrack.com. Q. Who can enter the meet? A. Athletes must be 25 years or older on March 18, 2022. Please note that this is a masters meet following masters, not open, rules. The hurdles for men 25-49 will be 39 inches (Open Men use 42 inches). Q. Does the meet have qualifying standards? A. No, the meet has no qualifying standards. Any USATF member 25+ as of March 18, 2022, can participate. Q. Is food available at The Armory? A. Yes, there will be a concession stand selling drinks and snacks. Q. Are showers and lockers available at The Armory? A. Luggage check will be provided on Sunday, March 20th, the final day of competition, on the first floor in the Packet Pick-up area. Also on Sunday, athletes may use the showers at The Armory to shower before departing for home. All athletes who wish to avail themselves of this service must be escorted to the locker room by a staff member of The Armory. Towels are NOT provided, so bring your own if you plan to shower at The Armory on Sunday. Q. What's the track surface? A. 200-meter banked Mondo. Q. Will the meet provide starting blocks? A. Yes; you may use only meet-supplied starting blocks. Q. What kind of spikes can I wear? A. Maximum ¼-inch pyramid spikes only. We perform a spike check before you can compete. Q. Will throwing implements be provided? A. Yes, we will provide at least two implements for each age group in each event. Q. May I bring and use my own throwing implement(s)? A. Yes, you may bring and use your own implement(s), but they must be weighed and inspected prior to the competition and will be impounded until your event(s). Q. When will the final schedule be posted? A. The full schedule, including heat times for running events and flight times for field events, will be posted approximately one week after the late entry deadline. The earliest will be March 4, 2022, two weeks prior to the first day of competition. Q. What is the process for entering a relay team? A. Relay teams may only enter on-site; however, each member of a relay team must also be entered in the meet as an individual. The normal entry process applies to each team member, including the deadlines. All relay teams must return their relay forms in the packet pick-up area, with the $40.00 entry fee for each relay, by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18 for the 4x800m and 4x200m relays and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19 for the 4x400m relays. Additional specific entry procedures and location will be communicated prior to the meet and on-site in the meet program. For more information on relays, click here. Q. The fee for a relay is listed as $40. Is that fee per person or per team? A. Per team, but as noted each member of the team must already be entered in the meet as well. Q. How do I send proof of age? A. After completing your entry, if the Status of Entries page indicates “info needed,” please upload a copy of your birth certificate or passport to your USATF Connect account. Detailed instructions on how to submit DOB documents to your USATF Connect account can be found here. Q. Can I add an event or change my time or mark for an event? A. Yes, you may do so until the late entry deadline on February 25, 2022. After that date, no changes may be made. You can, however, verify your entry by event on the Status of Entries page. Q. Once I'm at the meet, how do I declare for an event? A. Running/Track/Pentathlon Events: You must declare at least 60 minutes before the start of your event at the declaration area or online by 5:00 p.m. the day before the event is scheduled. (Instructions) Schedule Field Events: Athletes must declare at the field event venue at least 15 minutes before the start of all field events, except the pole vault. Packet/number pick-up is NOT declaring.
For early morning events, declaration sheets will be available the afternoon before. You MUST declare if you are going to compete. Failure to declare means you will be scratched from the event and WILL NOT compete.
Declarations for events starting early each morning will be available the previous afternoon.
