Other Information

• Zoom Technical Meeting: There will be a Zoom Technical Meeting on Thursday, March 31^st at 5:30 p.m. Pacific, 6:30 p.m. Mountain, 7:30 p.m. Central, 8:30 p.m. Eastern. Zoom Information details will be distributed to all registered runners via email the morning of March 31^st.

• Race Start Time: 8:20 AM PT
• Team Uniform Check-In: 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. at the Masters Tent adjacent to the starting area.
• Parking: On-street parking in the Capitol area is free on Sundays. Additionally, all city lots and garages will be maintaining their regular Sunday hours and rates during the event. Due to ample street parking in the vicinity of the start and finish lines, there will not be any gear check at this event.

• Awards Ceremony: On-site – Details to Follow.
  • Once the race is concluded and the overall results are posted, a one-hour protest period begins. Following the protest period, an Awards Ceremony will be held adjacent to the finishing area of the race. It is expected that Awards will begin around 11:00 a.m. or shortly after.

• USATF Championship Medals will be awarded to the top 3 Age-Graded finishers, the top 3 Overall finishers, the top 3 finishers in each 5-year Age Division starting at 40, and the top 3 teams in each 10-year Age Division starting at 40 and up, both men and women. The top 3 teams receive a plaque and medals for declared team members. In addition, championship patches are available for the Age-Graded Champions, the Overall Champions, and each Age Division National Champion.
  • Elite Performance Medals will be presented to all competitors achieving at least an 80% age grade in accordance with the 2020 USATF tables. You can find a link to a calculator consistent with the 2020 tables at: https://www.usatf.org/resources/statistics/calculators. Gold medals will be given to 90% or better; Silver for 85-89.99%; Bronze for 80-84.99%.

All Masters athletes must be citizens of the United States and eligible to represent the United States in international competition to be eligible for team scoring and for USATF medals and prize money. Prize money will be awarded to member USATF Masters runners who have appropriately entered the Championship competition. 

Non-citizens who are USATF members are welcome to compete but may not score for a team nor win USATF medals and prize money. Non-citizens can qualify for Elite Performance Medals. 

All prize money will be mailed to clubs or individuals following the race.

• Drug Testing: All competitors entered in the USATF Masters 10 Mile Championships are eligible for “in-competition” drug testing. Any questions regarding prescriptions or other over-the-counter medication should be directed to the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) at 1-888-233-0393. If the 2022 USATF Masters 10 Mile Championships are selected for drug testing, prize money checks will be mailed following our receipt of the drug testing results. The race has no control over when the results of the drug tests are released, and we cannot release the prize money until we have official results as it can directly affect the distribution amounts.
