All entrants should declare during the declaration period. This process confirms your intention to compete in the event.
To declare, please visit the registration page and click on “Manage my registration.” The password to log-in and declare/“manage my registration” was emailed to you when you first completed your entry/registration. The email was sent from: From: "2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Marathon registration@usatf.org” Subject: Registration Confirmation: 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Marathon Check your junk/spam folder if you cannot find the confirmation in your email inbox. The confirmation with the password was emailed to the email address listed under the athlete USATF membership profile at the time the registration was completed and to the coach/support person email that may have listed their email address as an alternate email address to receive a confirmation before the registration was completed. You also have the option to reset your password by clicking on “forgot your password.” Follow the steps for declaring once you’ve logged into your account. Once you’ve declared your status should change on the status of entries page (click here to check). If you have already declared for the event, you do not need to do so again. If you have issues declaring your registration, please e-mail events@usatf.org.
If an athlete has been deemed to not have met the pre-determined qualifying mark in an approved event, the athlete will be listed as “not qualified.” Please note, this is a selection event, and therefore athletes must be U.S. Citizens and eligible to represent the United States in all levels of competition, per USATF Competition Rules. An athlete may be listed as “Not Qualified” if they are unable to follow this rule.
If your entry status is listed as “Info Needed” there has been a question about your entry information. In the event that you have this note next to your name, please reach out to events@usatf.org.
If your entry status reads “Qualified” then your registration has been accepted into the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Marathon. Note: All entrants should still declare during the declaration period. Back to Top
Registered Coach “RC” credentials and Family and Friends wristbands are designed to allow an athlete’s coach or personal support access to designated areas for the purpose of preparing for competition or providing athlete support. Credentials and wristbands are non-transferable.

Athletes who still need to designate (add/update) coaches/athlete support names can complete this on-site. There will be a USATF verification station that can validate which option the coach/athlete support is eligible to receive.

Highlighting Atlanta's Olympic history and legacy, the course for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Marathon will take athletes on a tour of some of Atlanta's most important attractions and neighborhoods.
Athletes who, at the 16-mile mark, are running slower than 3:15 (7:26/mile average pace) full marathon pace for women and 2:49 (6:27/mile average pace) full marathon pace for men, will be removed from the field for the safety of the athletes ahead of them. In order to ensure athlete safety and a clean run in to the finish, men who are finishing at the same time as the women may be directed to an alternate finish line by a course official. The alternate finish line will be located adjacent to the start line. Affected athletes will be alerted as they make the final turn onto Andrew Young International Boulevard, near the Georgia World Congress Center. Further information will be provided during your respective technical meeting in Atlanta. Back to Top
