Q: How many athletes will run faster than or equal to 20.00 seconds in the Men’s 200m Final at the 2026 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships?

• Prior to these Championships, four athletes in this field have run sub-20 seconds this season: Noah Lyles, Brandon Hicklin, Garrett Kaalund, and Max Thomas.
  • Lyles has a Season’s Best of 19.91, his only outdoor 200m in 2026.
  • Hicklin has run a wind-legal 19.92 and a wind-aided 19.89 this season.
  • Kaalund picked up an injury during the outdoor season after running a 19.95 collegiate indoor record. This would be his first meet since May 27^th.
  • Thomas is also making a comeback from injury, most recently running a wind-aided 20.02 at the Ed Murphey Classic. He has a Season’s Best of 19.98 from the Tom Jones Memorial.
• Other notable athletes in the field include Trelee Banks (20.02 SB), Kyree King (19.90 PB), and Lance Lang (20.04 PB).
• Noteworthy scratches include Christian Coleman and Jordan Anthony.

Q: Who will win the Men’s Pole Vault Final at the 2026 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships?

• Despite 2026 being an “off-year” in terms of global championships, this pole vault field includes the top eight-ranked men in the U.S. and 12 of the top 15.
• Sam Kendricks is currently the #1 ranked U.S. men’s pole vaulter coming off a huge win at the London Diamond League Meeting, defeating Mondo Duplantis for the first time since 2021 and vaulting a Season’s Best of 5.95m. He is an 11-time USATF champion and a 2-time World Champion.
• Zachery Bradford is the only athlete in the field to vault higher this season; however, he has not vaulted higher than 5.83m since March 21^st.
• Chris Nilsen has arguably been the most consistent American vaulter this season, having vaulted 5.80m or higher in 7 of his last 9 meets. He is a 6-time USATF champion.
• The reigning, defending USATF outdoor pole vault champion Austin Miller is returning to form. He is coming off back-to-back wins at the Pan American Athletics Championships and Ed Murphey Classic.
• National Record holder KC Lightfoot will look to capture his first USATF title. He has a Season’s Best of 5.91m.

Q: Will the official winning time in the Women’s 200m Final at the 2026 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships be faster than or equal to 22.00 seconds?

• Kayla White and Cambrea Sturgis are the only two athletes entered that have run sub-22 this season.
  • Both have only broken this barrier once in their careers.
• Reigning World Champion Melissa Jefferson-Wooden has only raced once over 200m this season, clocking 22.17 at the Rome Diamond League Meeting.
• Reigning Diamond League Champion Brittany Brown is set to make her season debut here after not competing since Athlos in October where she clocked a Personal Best of 21.89.
• Other notable athletes in the field include Mckenzie Long, Anavia Battle, and Jenna Prandini.
• Sha’Carri Richardson is a noteworthy scratch in this event, opting to focus on the 100m.

Q: Who will win the Men’s Shot Put Final at the 2026 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships?

• Joe Kovacs comes into these championships ranked #2 in the world and has the furthest Season’s Best at 22.58m.
• Not far behind Kovacs is Jordan Geist, who is having the best season of his career. Geist has thrown over 22 meters in four competitions this season, most recently setting a huge Personal Best of 22.44m at the Ed Murphey Classic.
  • Geist has not lost to another American since June 4^th.
• Reigning, defending national champion Josh Awotunde has yet to replicate the form that saw him win last year. He has a Season’s Best of 21.06m.
• Roger Steen has a Season’s Best of 22.07m but has yet to eclipse the 22 meter-barrier outdoors in 2026.

Q: Will the official winning time in the Men’s 400m Hurdles Final at the 2026 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships be faster than or equal to 47.75 seconds?

• Caleb Dean is the only athlete entered in this field that has run faster than 47.75 this season.
• Dean and CJ Allen are the only athletes in this field that have run faster than 47.75 at any point in their careers.
• Dean has equaled or bettered this time on three different occasions this season.
• Chris Robinson has a Personal Best of 47.76 from this meet last year, and a Season’s Best of 48.66.

Q: Will the furthest mark in the Women’s Long Jump Final at the 2026 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships be farther than or equal to 7.15m (23 feet 5.50 inches)?

• Tara Davis-Woodhall comes into these championships with a World Leading mark of 7.20m from the USATF Los Angeles Grand Prix. She also has a wind-aided 7.25m jump from the same meet.
  • Davis-Woodhall is the only athlete in this field that has ever jumped further than 7.15m in their career.

• Charity Hufnagel comes into this meet with the highest Season’s Best at 1.96m.
• Reigning, defending national champion Vashti Cunningham has the highest outdoor clearance this season at 1.92m.
• Hufnagel has a 6-5 record head-to-head with Cunningham.
  • Cunningham beat Hufnagel in their last competition at the Ed Murphey Classic.
  • Hufnagel won the USATF Indoor Championships over Cunningham in February.
• Sanaa Barnes has a Season’s Best of 1.90m and a Personal Best of 1.94m.

• This is a mixed classification race. Any para athlete that can run without the assistance of a wheelchair or frame can compete in this open race.
  • This means that there will be a variety of athletes with either permanent physical, visual, or intellectual disabilities.
• Noah Malone has the fastest time in this field at 10.34.
  • Malone beat Jaydin Blackwell and Hunter Woodhall at both the USATF Los Angeles Grand Prix and the Prefontaine Classic.
• Korban Best won the Para 100m at the USATF Lone Star Grand Prix, defeating Jaydin Blackwell.
  • Best lost to both Malone and Blackwell at the Prefontaine Classic.
• Hunter Woodhall will be the most popular pick here based on name value. He holds a Personal Best of 10.75.
  • For comparison, Malone has a Season’s Best of 10.40.
