Robby Andrews is the son of Robert and Mary Andrews. He is coached by his father as well as Jason Vigilante, and his mother competed in the heptathlon. He has one sister named Kristen, who is a competitive middle distance-runner. Andrews has worked with Pinecrest High School, running during their practices and meeting with students. He has also worked at running camps for youth.
