Lone Star Grand Prix Adds Olympic and World Champions to Star-Studded Lineup

COLLEGE STATION, TX — The inaugural Lone Star Grand Prix Fueled by 44 Farms continues to build a world-class field, adding Olympic gold medalist Gabby Thomas and World Champion Oblique Seville to the June 6 meet at E.B. Cushing Stadium on the campus of Texas A&M University.

Thomas, a three-time gold medalist at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, is slated to compete in the women’s 200 meters. The Austin-based sprinter is in top form, having recently broken 11 seconds in the 100 meters for the first time with a wind-legal 10.95 in Gaborone, Botswana. She also boasts a personal best of 22.38 in the indoor 200m, set at the NCAA Championships at Texas A&M in 2018. Thomas is the second Olympic gold medal winner to join the lineup for the Lone Star Grand Prix. 2024 Olympic 400m champion Quincy Hall was previously announced.

Thomas headlines a deep women’s 200m field that includes 2024 NCAA champion and Olympic finalist McKenzie Long, World Championship gold medalist Kayla White, and Olympic silver medalist Jenna Prandini.
On the men’s side, Seville will line up in a loaded 100 meters field featuring Olympic champion Andre De Grasse, World Indoor champion Trayvon Bromell, and British record holder Zharnel Hughes. The race also includes members of Team USA’s gold medal-winning 4x100m relay squad from the recent World Relays: Ronnie Baker, Max Thomas and Pjai Austin.
Additional event fields were announced for the women’s 400 meters and men’s 110m hurdles.

The women’s 400m will be led by one of the fastest Americans in history, Britton Wilson. She will be joined by World Relays and World Indoor gold medalist Bailey Lear and Olympic gold medalist Alexis Holmes. International competition comes from Haiti’s Wadeline Jonathas, the reigning World Indoor silver medalist.

The men’s 110m hurdles features Olympic silver medalist Daniel Roberts alongside fellow Olympian Freddie Crittenden and U.S. indoor champion Dylan Beard.

Organized by USA Track & Field, The Lone Star Grand Prix Fueled by 44 Farms will be held Saturday, June 6 beginning at 2 p.m. CT. Tickets are on sale now. The meet will be broadcast live on NBC from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m CT.
