INDIANAPOLIS -- Breaking 13 seconds in the men's 110 hurdles for the 12th time in his storied career, Grant Holloway (Gainesville, FL/USATF Florida) earned recognition as the 27th USATF Athlete of the Week award winner for 2024. It is his second AOW award this year. Olympic champion and reigning world champion Holloway zipped to a 12.99 to win at the Zurich Diamond League meet, moving atop the list of career sub-13.00 clockings with his 12th such effort. Previously he was tied with Allen Johnson for the most with 11. There have been 93 wind-legal times of 12.99 or faster in history. Holloway earned AOW recognition in February after setting a world record in the indoor 60 hurdles at the USATF Indoor Championships in Albuquerque. He leads the 110H world list this year with a 12.86, set in winning the U.S. Olympic Trials title at Eugene in June, and he captured his first Olympic gold with a 12.99 in the final at Paris.
