For Tuesdays with Toyota, we are spotlighting some of USATF's most dedicated members with a short feature on USATF.org and our social media channels. Here is our feature with USATF athlete Joseph Tragesser, member of the Indiana Association from Morristown, Indiana. Tell us about your journey with USATF and how it has impacted you: “USATF has literally changed our lives. My kids have been running in these meets for a few years, and it’s their favorite sporting event of all-time. They have competed in several national races and placed well. My two oldest girls placed second and third at the National Youth track meet in Florida over the summer. We had an amazing experience there and are looking forward to more meets. They have won many state and regional meets as well as Indiana Athletes of the Year. My two oldest girls and only son have all earned this prestigious honor. My youngest daughter, five years old, earned second place overall in the Grand Prix races and placed ninth in the state for the eight and under races. My oldest three kids all earned the overall winner last year for their races in the Grand Prix races. We just love the USATF community and sport. Joining this organization is the best decision that we have ever made, and we look forward to many more races.” What are you most thankful for in regards to your USATF community? “We absolutely love the USATF community. Everyone in this community is so kind and caring and truly wants everyone to succeed. This is the best organization to join.” Is there a word, phrase, or thought that helps you focus while you train? “It’s not how fast you run, it’s how long you run fast.” Anything else you'd like the @USATF community to know about you? “Our family of six (mom, dad, and four young kids) has run more than 6,000 combined miles this year. We truly love running and give our all to the sport. I coach their Jr. High Cross Country team, and we had a 73-0 undefeated season last year. We are looking forward to more races.”
