NEW YORK, New York — The first day of sprint finals was nothing short of action-packed at Randall’s Island as Icahn Stadium played host to the 2022 USATF National Youth Outdoor Championships. One of the biggest highlights of the day came as Dasyer Bullock of Camden Track Club took the boy’s 13-14 division 200m hurdles title in 26.94. Even after hitting the last hurdle, Bullock was unphased and was a clear winner, crossing the line more than a second ahead of his nearest competitor. Paris Baker quickly established herself as the favorite in the girls 17-18 division 400m hurdles. She ran away from the competition in the final turn, running the straight all on her own to win with a personal best time of 1:03.44. VO2Max Track Club dominated the girls 8 & under 800m, taking the top two spots with Abigail Riley and Ari Pennicooke. Riley was a decisive winner with a time of 2:50.64 to blow away the field and Pennicooke took second with a 3:01.80 finish. Andrew Francis of Miami Northwest Express Trac cleared 1.35m/4’5 in the boy’s 9-10 division high jump. His clearance bested the field by more than ten centimeters to give Francis a clear title.
