Perry, 75, clocked 12:18.49 at the NYRR Night at the Races at the Armory in New York City to better Doug Goodhue’s existing 75-79 age group indoor record of 12:29.32 by more than 11 seconds. In 2016, Perry set the 70-74 American indoor record in the 800m with a 2:32.37.

Full results are here.

  • Tamara Clark — Clark became the No. 3 all-time collegiate woman at 300m with her 36.56 at the Blazer Invitational in Birmingham.
  • Abraham Alvarado — Alvarado clocked the 5th-fastest men’s indoor 1,000m ever by an American at the Clemson Orange & Purple Invitational, going 2:18.01.
