Jane Parks appointed International Road Course Measurer for Oregon22

INDIANAPOLIS -- USATF Road Running Technical Council Vice Chair (West) and Registrar, Jane Parks, has been appointed as the international road course measurer (marathon and race walk) for the World Athletics Championships Oregon22. The historic event has been rescheduled from summer 2021 to July 15-24, 2022.

Parks is the first woman ever to be appointed to this position for a World Athletics Series. She has served as a measurer since 2004 and co-measured premier events such as the New York City Marathon and the most recent 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Marathon.

“The best part about being a measurer is feeling like you’re supporting the athletes,” Parks said. “I’m very excited for Oregon22.”

The renowned international event - its first time being held in the U.S. - will take place at the newly-updated Hayward Field at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. For more information, visit https://www.worldathletics.org/competitions/world-athletics-championships/oregon22.
