Dixon’s 600 win earns him USATF Athlete of the Week honors

INDIANAPOLIS -- Devin Dixon (McDonough, Georgia) ran the sixth-fastest indoor men’s 600m ever by an American to earn USATF Athlete of the Week.

Dixon, the NACAC U23 champion at 800m last year, zipped to a 1:15.16 at the Texas Tech Invitational in Lubbock to become the No. 5 all-time U.S. 600m performer overall, and the No. 2 American collegian ever. He closed out the meet with a 44.91 anchor leg on Texas A&M’s 4x400 to lead the Aggies to a world-leading time of 3:02.77, just outside the all-time collegiate indoor top 10 list.

Full results are here.
