DOHA -- Five-time Olympian Bernard Lagat received 589 votes to be elected to the IAAF Athletes' Commission representing the USA. The Commission provides athletes the opportunity to be involved in IAAF governance. In addition to Lagat, the following members were also elected:
Renaud Lavillenie (FRA, pole vault)
Valerie Adams (NZL, shot put)
Kevin Borlee (BEL, 400m)
Katerina Stefanidi (GRE, pole vault)
Aisha Praught-Leer (JAM, middle distance)
