Brian Herron (Decatur, Georgia) ran the fourth-fastest high school indoor times ever in the 200m and 400m to earn USATF Athlete of the Week.
Herron, who ran on Team USATF’s world junior record-setting 4x400m relay at the Pan Am Juniors last summer, clocked 20.95 and 46.43 at the Hoover Alumni Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama, on December 30. His 200m time is believed to be the fastest-ever indoors by a youth athlete.
