Masks MUST be worn at all times within the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. Athletes must replace their masks after completion of their event(s). There is NO requirement for proof of negative test results or vaccinations.
Admission tickets to the USATF National Youth Indoor Championships are available for purchase online at a discounted price if purchased prior to Friday, March 18th. All competitors must wear their assigned bib numbers on the front of their jersey during competition. If an athlete loses the bib number, a replacement may be purchased for a fee of $10.00. Packet pick up will be available during the following times and locations:
The 2022 USATF Youth Indoor Championships is open to 2022 USATF members who fall within the youth age divisions listed below. Athletes can join USATF by visiting USATF.org. Proof of Birth: Any athletes competing in a USATF age group championship must have their age verified. Age verification must be processed through the USATF membership portal (USATF Connect) by uploading a copy of your birth certificate or passport. Please allow 5 business days for verification to take place (all age verification for the Indoor Championships must be submitted by March 13th). Top six in each individual and relay event earn medals and All-American honors. The winner of each event will also receive a trophy. Each athlete entering the meet will receive a drawstring spike bag and a reusable water bottle. Back to Top

Facility: NYC Parks' Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex 625 Father Capodanno Boulevard Staten Island, New York 10305 718-351-7923 www.oceanbreeze.org NYC Parks' Ocean Breeze Park boasts a 135,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art indoor track and field facility. The athletic complex was funded by the City's PlaNYC initiative, with construction managed in coordination with the New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC). The facility has become a premier destination for athletic events, drawing competitors from around the country. The elite-level hydraulically-banked competition track will be able to be converted from eight to six lanes, can incline up to 4.5 feet, and will have commanding views of the nearby Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and even the Freedom Tower in lower Manhattan. A warm-up area with 150-meter loop mondo track surface which also features fitness, cardio rooms, and multi-purpose rooms. Back to Top
Parking is available at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex free of charge. Parking for spectators is located on Father Capodanno Blvd. in parking lots #5 with overflow parking available in lots #4 and #6. Please follow the direction of the NYC Parks enforcement officers. Do not park on the streets or on any grass surface (approximately 300m). Parking for buses is located on Father Capodanno Blvd. in parking lot #9 (approximately 1,400m). Buses will be permitted to drop-off on the north side of Father Capodanno Blvd. and pick-up will be located on the south side of Father Capodanno Blvd. We ask that buses do not park on residential streets. Running Events — All running events will check in with the clerk located on the first floor of the facility and should be race ready at the time of reporting. Field Events — All field event athletes will check in at the site of each event by accessing the field of play through the first floor warm-up field. Back to Top
A mondo warm-up loop is located on the first floor of the athletic complex and is available for athletes actively warming-up for their respective event. Athletes will not be permitted on the first floor for any other reason and will be asked to leave this area if not actively warming up for an event. Coaches and Parents are not permitted on the first floor of the venue at any time, to allow for U.S. Center for SafeSport compliance. All starting blocks and batons will be supplied by meet management and athletes should not bring their own to the facility. A limited number of throwing implements will be provided for use, but athletes are encouraged to bring their own. Back to Top
The use of personal implements will be permitted, but will be subject to use by any competitor in the field. Weigh-in’s will be open throughout the three-day event, but implements must be brought to inspection at least 90 minutes prior to the start of their event. Any implements submitted late will not be accepted and held until the completion of the event. Back to Top
Seeding: Seeds will be based on personal bests from the 2021 outdoor season or 2022 indoor season. If there is an issue with your seed, email JaRon McBride BEFORE the entry deadline. Advancement: For all running events from 55m through 400m, there will be two rounds of competition. The eight fastest times in the 55m and 55m hurdles, and the 6 fastest times in the 200m and 400m shall advance from the first round to the final in all age divisions. The top eight competitors in each field event shall advance to the finals of their age division. Back to Top
Opening heights for the High Jump and Pole Vault will be three increments below the Youth Performance Guidelines. Incremental increases will be 5 cm in the High Jump and 15 cm in the Pole Vault. *Opening heights are subject to change based on the entries of each event. Finalized opening heights will be available on March 13th at the close of entries.
Refer to USATF Rule 302.5(n). All competitors must provide their own vaulting poles. Vault athletes must report to be weighed at the venue. Athletes must have their competition bib and all poles they wish to use verified. Weigh-in and pole inspection will take place at the vault venue one hour before each event. All poles will be inspected for manufacturers’ pole ratings and the maximum top hand hold position as determined by the manufacturer. The competitors’ weights must be at or below the manufacturers’ pole ratings. No exceptions. Meet management will not be responsible for any pole that is shipped to or impounded at the meet without a hard, protective case. Athletes may ship poles for delivery no later than Wednesday, March 18, 2022. There will be a $100.00 fee for all protests. Protests must be submitted to the Protest Referee no later than 30 minutes after a result has been posted. The protest fee will be refunded if the protest is upheld. Back to Top

Glass or metal containers
Food/Gum on the track or the infield
No liquids other than water are allowed on the track surface
Coolers are not permitted in the facility
Air Mattresses
Weapons of any kind
