Eligibility Requirements

Foreign athletes are welcome to compete but will not be eligible for individual National Championship awards. There are certain criteria for athletes in the USA Championship divisions:

All Athletes

• All athletes must be 2008 members of USATF in good standing. USATF memberships may be purchased online, through your local Association Office, or by calling the USATF National Office at 317-713-4665.
• There are no performance standards to participate.
• Only citizens of the United States may win Championship awards.

Open Athletes

• Athletes must be 14 years or older on the day of competition.

Junior Division

• Athletes must be at least 14 years old on the day of competition but not turn 20 years old during 2008.

Masters Division

• Athletes must be 40 years or older on the day of competition.
• Competition will be conducted in five-year age divisions.
