Eligibility Requirements
In addition to correctly entering the meet, the following criteria must be met:
Teams
- All clubs must be registered with USATF for 2004 by September 15, 2004.
Please submit your club application to your local
Association office.
- Teams are composed of 5 athletes of the same sex (mixed male/female teams
are not allowed). Each athlete may only run one leg on one team.
- All relay team members must be 2004 USATF members. Club team entries will not be
accepted unless all entrants have valid, current USATF memberships.
- All athletes entering as part of a club relay team must be affiliated with
that club as part of their USATF membership (an athlete's current
affiliation can be viewed in his/her membership
profile). Athletes wishing to change affiliations can make such a
request through their local Association (note
that this request must be made by the athlete--see Regulation 7 in the USATF
Governance Manual, Section III).
- The formation of club teams must meet all of the parameters as noted in
Regulations 7 and 8 in the USATF
Governance Manual, Section
III. This will be strictly enforced.
- Team/age division compositions are as follows:

all team members are male and 16 yrs. or older |
| Open Women |
all team members are female and 14 yrs. or older |
Open Athletes
- Only citizens of the United States are eligible to compete
in the Championships.
- Female athletes must be 14 years or older and male athletes must be 16
years or older on the day of competition.
- All athletes must be 2004 members of USATF in good standing. USATF
memberships may be purchased on-line,
through your local Association Office, or through the USATF National Office.
