Eligibility: The competition is open to all Arizona youth athletes who will not reach their 19th birthday on or before the day of the National JO Championships(12/12). Current USATF membership is required to compete, and can be purchased the day of the meet. Proof of Birth (copy of birth certificate, passport, certified baptismal record, driver's license, or U.S. government identification) is required and must be submitted with each entry.
Entry Fee: $6.00 per individual.

Awards: Junior Olympic medals will be awarded to the first 10 place finishers in each event.
Rules: Current USA Track and Field youth athletic rules will govern.
Conduct: Coaches, team leaders, and parents are responsible fot the conduct of all their athletes. Failure to maintain proper control and to display good sportsmanship/could result in disqualification from the meet.
Regional: The top 25 finishers in each age division, and the top three teams, both boys & girls, at the Arizona Championships, may advance to the Region X JO Cross Country Championships. The 2009 Regional competition will be held in EL Paso, Texas, Saturday, November 21. Entries for the Regional meet must be turned in athe the Arizona Championships, along with entry fees, and proof of birth date, if not previously submitted.
National: The top 20 finishers in each age division, and the top three teams, both boys & girls, at the Regional Championships, may advance to the National JO Cross Country Championships. The 2009 National JO competition will be held at Rancho San Rafael Park, Reno, Nevada, Saturday, December 12th. Entries for the National meet must be turned in at the the Regional Championships.
