| Eligibility: | Competition is open to all athletes, USA Track & Field membership is required. To represent a club or organization, that group must be a a current member in good standing, with USA Track & Field. | |
| Entry Fee: | $3.50 per event, $14.00 per relay team. Entry fees ane not refundable. | |
| Entry: | All entries will be done on-line at CoachO Entries The on -line reqistration deadline is Midnight March 28, 2009 (MST) Corrections may be made by noon April 1, thru the Association Office. Entries Received after this time will be charged $5 per event. | |
| No Mailed, Faxed, E-mail, or day of meet entries will be accepted. | ||
| Entry Limits: | Sub-Bantam, Bantam, and Midget - three events including relays. All others - four events including relays. Note: Sub-Bantam athletes will be limited to the following events - 100m, 200m, 4x100m , Mini-Javalin, and Long Jump. | |
| Facilities: | Nine lane all weather track. Runway and ligh jump area are all weather. Shot Put and Discus are are concrete. Spikes 1/4 or less will be allowed. Tents will only be allowed in the upper 10 rows of the stands, and on the grassey area around the track. | |
| Awards: | Custom medals will be awarded to the first 3 place finishers in each event, including relays. Ribbons will be awarded to the 4th thru 8th place finishers. | |
| Team Awards: | Team trophies will be awarded to the first, second, and third place teams, male and female in the Sub-Bantam, Bantam, Midget, and Youth divisions. Ties for team awards will be broken using rule 10/6/b. | |
| Rules: | Current USA Track and Field rules will govern. Only competing athletes will be permitted on the track or infield area, except for medical emergencies. | |
| Protest: | All protests must be made in writing, to the referee, not later than 30 minutes after the results of an event have been announced. Proper rule reference must be cited. All protests must be accompanied by a $50.00 cash deposit. Deposit will be refuded if protest is upheld, forfeited if protest is denied. | |
| Check In Track: |
Two calls will be given for each event. Athletes in running events must report to the clerk of the course, ready to compete, and stay in the area. Athletes must noftify the official in charge of their field event, before leaving to report to the clerk for their running event. Athletes must report back to their field event within 5 minutes of completion of their runing event. | |
| Check In Field: |
Field event athletes will check in directly to the official in charge if their event. All contestants will be given three trials in each field event, (except the High Jump and Pole Vault). The athletes attaining the best nine marks will advance to the finals, for three final attempts. Preliminary marks will be counted in final placement for all athleties advanceing to the finals. All throwing implements must be certified prior to use. | |
| Results, Programs, Tee Shirts: |
Complete results will be available on our web site @ usatf.org/assoc/az Additional sets may be ordered for $3.00 each. Souvenir programs and custom Tee Shirts will be available. | |
| Meet Headquarters: |
The Crown Plaza Hotel, Metrocenter, 2532 W. Peoria (@ I-17) will serve as meet Headquarters. See the Hotel & Motel section below for rates. | |
| Packet Pick Up: |
Pre-meet information will be available Friday April 3rd from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.. This will include athlete numbers, performance lists, number of heats, and events that will not have semi's. Scratches will be accepted at that time, and additions will be accepted on a space available basis. There will be no day of meet additions. |
